Pulsii privacy

Pulsii is one public live canvas operated by 10000 Industries, the trading name of Aidan Beaney, who is responsible for how Pulsii uses personal information. It is not a private room. Contact hello@pulsii.net about privacy, accessibility or abuse.

What Pulsii receives

Your browser sends a temporary pulse colour and position when you tap. The application validates it, holds an accepted pulse only in a bounded in-process queue until the next live batch, and relays that batch to healthy connections that remain online for delivery. The browser keeps a pulse only for its short visual lifetime. The application does not save individual pulse events, create a canvas history, or replay missed batches after a connection drops.

The hosting provider may process ordinary operational connection and error data, which can include an IP address, request time, browser headers, and technical error details. The Pulsii application itself emits fixed technical error codes and aggregate counters such as connection totals, pulse totals, queue rejections, memory use, socket-write attempts and completions, and attempted and completed application-payload bytes. Those application log fields do not include pulse positions, colours, names, account identifiers, or stable user identifiers. We do not have access to a per-visitor activity history in the application.

What is not used

There are no public Pulsii accounts, profiles, names, messages, advertising trackers, browser storage identifiers, or user-level analytics. Ordinary canvas use sets no cookies and makes no third-party browser request.

When usage recording is enabled, we retain anonymous totals in one-minute time buckets for up to 90 days: canvas page requests, opened and closed connections, how many closed connections sent a pulse, total connection duration, accepted and rejected pulse counts, peak concurrent connections, and time with multiple connections present. The known campaign tag source=reddit-sideproject counts tagged page requests; other URL parameters and referral URLs are not saved in these analytics. Counts include reloads, reconnections, our own testing and potentially automated traffic. They do not identify unique or returning people, and they do not include pulse colours or positions.

Usage statistics are available only through an authenticated owner dashboard. The owner sign-in uses an essential, secure session cookie for that private dashboard; it is not used to track canvas visitors. The owner can export aggregate reports and retain those exports for longer. Hosting-provider logs may have separate operational retention periods.

Why this information is processed

We use the minimum information needed for the live canvas, security, reliability and responding to requests. Where this is personal information, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: providing the interaction you choose to join, preventing misuse and handling enquiries. We limit the impact by keeping no accounts, pulse history or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not sell personal information, use it for profiling, or make automated decisions about people.

Hosting and retention

The canvas is hosted by Render Services, Inc. in its Frankfurt region. Accepted pulse data stays in server memory until delivery and in each browser for about 1.4 seconds, followed by a short fading trail; there is no replay or saved canvas. Anonymous operational summaries remain in the Render dashboard for up to seven days under our current plan. This is the dashboard retention period, not a promise that Render deletes every infrastructure record after seven days. Render may retain separate security and service records under its own policies.

Render is a US provider and uses subprocessors; support and infrastructure processing can involve countries outside the UK and EEA. Its data processing terms describe transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum. See also Render’s privacy policy.

If you email us, our email provider (123 Reg / Titan) handles the message, your address and any details you choose to include. We use these to answer your request. We aim to delete routine resolved correspondence within 12 months, retaining it longer only when needed for an ongoing issue or a legal obligation. Please do not send sensitive information or other visitors’ personal details.

Your choices and rights

You can stop sharing by closing the page. Under UK data protection law, you may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of its use, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have exceptions. Email us to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Because Pulsii has no accounts or stable identifiers, the operator may be unable to connect an operational record to a particular visitor without additional information.

The initial organised sessions are for adults aged 18 or over. The canvas is publicly reachable; this is not an age-verification system. We do not ask visitors for dates of birth or identity documents. We will update this notice if the way Pulsii operates changes.
